Project Manager - Combustion and Integrated Emissions - Gen Combustion Performance - (Palo Alto, CA or Charlotte, NC)

The Project Manager will support EPRI’s Integrated Environmental Control program area in a technical capacity, focusing on environmental controls technologies for fossil power generation. More specifically, the successful candidate will manage the development and demonstration of innovative technologies to control emissions of sulfur, particulate, mercury, and NOx. Job Functions:

§    Interface with utility plant personnel and engineering staff, review test programs, writing project reports / presentations, and coordination with Integrated Environmental Controls project manager staff as required

§ All aspects of R&D project engineering and management, including project development, contractor interface (including technical direction and review as well as scope/schedule/budget management), results analysis, and technical consultation and presentations to utility members

 

The Ideal Candidate:

§ A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree desirable)

§ Minimum of 5 years experience related to coal boiler emissions, and environmental controls systems

§ Minimum of 5 years experience in project engineering and project management of coal boiler performance retrofit projects

§ Proven verbal and written communication abilities, including presentations to clients and technical report writing

§ Team player willing to cooperate and coordinate Program activities with EPRI and industry technical staff
