Underwriting Senior Product Director, Lawyers Professional Liabililty

Key Responsibilities
This role serves as the national product director for our Lawyers Professional Liability business. The individual is responsible for driving and delivering account attainment along with the premium growth within the business. He/she will build strong relationships with existing clients and work with our internal Sales organization to develop new client relationships. As the Lawyers underwriting expert, will provide industry specific insight that influences new coverages, underwriting guidelines, marketing strategy, and distribution strategy for this sector. Will serve as a mentor to regional underwriters on the Lawyers Professional Liability sector. Role reports to the Professional Liability Product Vice President.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Law degree and prior legal experience preferred
Minimum of 10 years experience underwriting Lawyers Professional Liability
Participation in key associations (e.g. ABA) including presentations at respective meetings.
In-depth knowledge of the Lawyers Professional Liability distribution channel
Demonstrate successful past experience with producer relationships that includes profitable growth
Experience interacting with and presenting proposals to Large Law Firms
Excellent analytical and interpretive skills to identify business improvement needs and develop/implement solutions, including ability to analyze legislation or potential legislation and outline strategy of response.
Ability to travel (40%); with frequent overnight travel
