Our client is in need of a Subsea Project Engineer.
Description: Plans, schedules and coordinates the engineering activities on small to medium projects of limited complexity or assists a more experienced project engineer on large and/or technically complex projects. Work requires knowledge of the organizations products and services and the associated engineering work processes. Travels to project meetings and job sites, as necessary. Suggests work process improvements, and implements corrective actions, as necessary, to achieve budgets and schedules. Independently performs most assignments. Receives guidance from project manager on unusual aspects and/or complex problems. Keeps project manager well informed.
Duties: Responsible for specialized subsea components engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation & commissioning focusing in particular elements and its interfaces based on his/her competencies. Typically the areas of specialization are the following: -Production equipment- Trees, manifolds, jumpers, flowline structures, etc -Hydraulic & Chemical Distribution -Electro Hydraulic Umbilical -Instrumentation and Control - Oversees, monitors and manages activities for compliance with QA/QC and HSSE requirements - Oversees, monitors and manages activities for compliance with budget and schedule. - Suggests and implements corrective actions as necessary to achieve expected results. - Monitors performance and productivity of project assigned engineering resources. - Keeps project manager well-informed about engineer progress and problems. - Reviews drawings and other engineering documentation - Prepares detailed procedures for installation, testing and commissioning - Coordinates and interfaces with equipment suppliers. - Oversees fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning activities. - Reviews and approves technical evaluations of suppliers proposals. - Works and communicates effectively with customers, vendors, other technical disciplines
Qualifications: A Bachelors degree. With comprehensive knowledge in relevant subsea components, with a well-developed knowledge of general engineering principles and practices. Working knowledge of the organizations technology and knowledge and understanding of how the relevant components integrate into a subsea system. With experience in project execution covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation & commissioning.
7 years of Subsea related engineering experience.
