The Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System draws on the united capabilities of its East Orange and Lyons campuses and their community-based satellites to offer seamless medical services for both inpatients and outpatients. Our East Orange campus currently seeks a Urology Health Technician to join its Surgical Service. Working in both an inpatient and outpatient clinic setting, the successful candidate will assist Urology surgeons in the performance of urological procedures in the OR, Urology clinic and inpatient wards. In addition, you will be responsible for receiving and explaining method procedures/positions to patients, maintaining urologic endoscopic equipment and assisting with the training of new physicians and med students starting their urology rotation.

Requires at least one year of experience assisting with urological procedures, basic knowledge of urological ultrasound, and first aid training especially in emergency cardiac arrest procedures. Must be a team-player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
