User Experience Designer
About the Job
Job Overview:
The User Experience Designer will be responsible for designing user-centered interfaces for our high-volume ecommerce and community websites. The position will collaborate with project managers, information architects, usability engineers, and front-end developers to refine and improve the user experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
ยท 5+ years of professional experience in user-centered design and web design is required. Ecommerce experience is highly desired.
- Advanced experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash (with ActionScript), and Web 2.0 concepts and methods are essential.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and Prototype highly desired.
- Experience with ASP.NET/C# or J2EE/JSP/Java a plus.
- Experience with user interfaces, image optimization, scripting, web accessibility standards, design & development standards, and cross-platform issues.
- 4-year degree in HCI (Human Computer-Interaction), graphic design, or related field or equivalent work experience highly desired.
