Bestica, nation's leading User Experience staffing firm, is searching for a User Experience Designer for a large client based in Seattle, WA – Local candidates only.

Position Outline:

The User Experience Designer collaboratively creates high-quality designs for new and existing digital products. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects with compelling content, significant market exposure, and positive community impact.

Description of responsibilities:

• Translates business goals, user needs, design direction, and operational requirements into an effective user experience strategy.
• Designs the UI architecture, interaction flow, and functional user interface for content-rich, customer-facing web sites and applications.
• Creates user scenarios, wireframes, task flows, mockups, and related materials.
• Applies usability findings, customer input, site analytics data, and other user experience research.
• Brainstorms creative concepts and iterates quickly through design cycles.
• Collaborates with the product management, editorial, marketing, and technology teams
• Advocates for useful, usable, and desirable user experiences.
• Articulates user experience issues and concerns.
• Performs competitive design research.

Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer, Information Architect, or similar role.
• Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User-Centered Design, or related field.
• Experience designing user-friendly interactive solutions for web sites and applications, including content-rich, consumer-facing products. Experience with mobile applications preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of user-centered design processes, techniques and tools.
• Skilled at creating a range of user experience design deliverables, including wireframes. Work samples or an online portfolio required.
• Proficiency with appropriate design and prototyping tools (Visio, Axure, etc.) as well as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, etc.), but this is not a coding role.
