User Interface Analyst

We are currently seeking a User Interface Analyst for a full time permanent position with our client in Franklin Park, IL.  The UI Analyst will create an optimal user experience for users of web based applications; work with designers and developers to create consistent functionality; test usability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain wireframes and functional documents detailing functionality of applications
  • Create user requirements from business, functional requirements
  • Create and implement functional testing of multiple scenarios for web applications
  • Conduct usability tests and analyze results
  • Create recommendations for improving user experience
  • Maintain test scenarios and associated documentation

 

Technical Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in either: Computer Science, Human Factors, Web Design, or other related discipline
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Information Architect experience a plus
  • Knowledge of B2B, B2C, and B2B2C ecommerce sites, and the differences between them
  • Familiarity with concepts of web-based software applications
  • Experience in conducting usability studies and translating the findings into actionable recommendations
  • Familiarity with following software packages & development languages a plus: Adobe Photoshop, OmniGraffle / Microsoft Visio, HTML, XML, CSS, Object Oriented Programming Languages such as: Ruby or PHP, MS Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills
