Our client in Franklin Park, IL has an immediate full-time permanent position for a User Interface Developer.
User Interface Developer
The UI Developer will work to create an optimal user experience for users of our web based applications; works with designers and developers to create consistent functionality; tests usability; works under general supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
· Create and maintain wireframes and functional documents detailing functionality of applications
· Create user requirements from business, functional requirements
· Create and implement functional testing of multiple scenarios for web applications
· Conduct usability tests and analyze results
· Create recommendations for improving user experience
· Maintains test scenarios and associated documentation
Technical Requirements
· BS/BA degree in either: Computer Science, Human Factors, Web Design, or other related discipline
· Experience in Agile methodology
· Information Architect experience a plus
· Knowledge of B2B, B2C, and B2B2C ecommerce sites, and the differences between them
· Familiarity with concepts of web-based software applications
· Experience in conducting usability studies and translating the findings into actionable recommendations
· Familiarity with following software packages & development languages a plus:
o Adobe Photoshop
o OmniGraffle / Microsoft Visio
o HTML
o XML
o CSS
o Object Oriented Programming Languages such as: Ruby or PHP
o MS Office Suite
· Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills
