Utility Pole inspectors will be responsible for the inspection of the pole clearances using the WorkStudio platform on a GPS enabled field unit. The inspectors will be assigned work inspection blocks containing a group of poles. The inspector will input clearance specifications including voltage class, conductor type, clearance type, clearance category and sub-category, clearance values, a photo, and a GPS location into WorkStudio. The CIP platform will determine if a pole has passed or failed the inspection using predefined conditions and assign failures a priority (PE1: work to be completed immediately, P1: work to be completed in 45 days, P2: work to be completed in 365 days, and P3: no completion date determine).
When a pole is complete from the inspection standpoint it will be saved on the field unit and at the end of the day the portion of the work inspection block completed will be synched back to the application server. The completion of an entire block may take several days and once the block is completed the inspector will save and release ownership of the block and synch the data with the application server. The inspectors will be required to request additional work block s from 24 hours prior to the completion of work available to them on their field unit.
