As a Behavioral/Mental Health Care Advocate you will be responsible for utilization review of behavioral health and substance abuse cases. You'll have a direct impact on the lives of our members as you recommend and manage the appropriate level of care throughout the entire treatment plan.

This position will be based in Wellesley, Massachusetts

Primary responsibilities:

  • Concurrent care management, effectively influencing facility treatment toward best practices and ongoing stabilization and well - being for our members
  • Assessing inpatient, residential, and partial hospital treatment needs based on Level of Care Guidelines
  • Developing discharge plans
  • Independent management of daily caseloads, collaborating with other clinicians and MD's




Required Qualifications: 

  • Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D.
  • Licenses must be independent, active, and unrestricted
  • Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 2+ years post - Masters experience in residential, inpatient and/or partial treatment programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
  • Experience in a managed care setting
