Insurance company seeks VP/AVP, Statistical Modeling.  The VP/AVP, Statistical Modeling is responsible for leading a team of technical professionals engaged in research, data mining and predictive modeling efforts.  The focus of this team is to identify profitable and unprofitable segments of the business for pricing, underwriting and marketing action. This person will direct and manage the research team in conducting exploratory research in concepts relatively new to the insurance industry such as Lifecycle Underwriting, Lifetime Value of a customer household, etc.  In this capacity, supports the achievement of profit, expense and business objectives of business line.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Econometrics


• 12+ yrs experience in insurance or financial services industry

• 8+ yrs experience managing teams of statisticians, modelers and data miners


• Hands-on predictive modeling and data mining experience using advanced SAS 

Salary: $150k+
