Summary of Duties: The Vice President of Marketing will provide strategic direction and support within the business organization by identifying, analyzing and implementing solutions related to our marketing efforts. This position is responsible for managing all areas of communication and branding concepts for the organization. The incumbent will need to stay abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of our organization and adjust plans accordingly. This is an exciting hands-on brand communications position for someone who is a brand-builder, a strategic leader and is looking to make a significant positive impact to our business.
Specific Functions:
Ø Provide strategic advice and oversee the delivery of marketing deliverables;
Ø Plans and directs the electronic branding efforts both internally and externally;
Ø Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish specific organization goals;
Ø Develops and implements the strategic online marketing plan for the organization;
Ø Responsible for overseeing external website and its content components to help us have a competitive advantage;
Ø Manages, develops, and implements product marketing activities to maximize sales;
Ø Creates, implements and oversees communication programs that effectively describe and promote our organization and its products including graphics, brochures, company fact sheets and logos;
Ø Oversees the preparation of presentations and/or speeches geared towards employees, clients and prospective clients;
Ø Is responsible for RFP responses and proposals;
Ø Works closely with senior leadership to create marketing strategies;
Ø Manages media relations;
Ø Maintains marketing plan and collateral;
Ø Writes and edits company publications and other external marketing materials;
Ø Plans and directs market research studies;
Ø Develops innovative and best-in-class signage concepts;
Ø Define and manage product placement strategies; and
Ø All other related and/or additional responsibilities that may be required or assigned.
Requirements:
The Vice President of Marketing must have the following skills, abilities and experience:
Ø At least 5-years of marketing experience;
Ø At least 5-years call center experience; this is a definite requirement of the position. No applicants will be considered without call center experience;
Ø Experience in RFP preparation is a plus;
Ø Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Business or related subject area;
Ø A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected;
Ø Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
Ø Strong problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills;
Ø Excellent communication skills— can communicate clearly and effectively, verbally, in writing, and by electronic communications with both internal and external clients;
Ø Excellent presentation skills;
Ø Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, to work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Ø Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions; and
Ø Excellent interpersonal skills, judgment and decision-making skills.
