My client is engaged in the development and commercialization of specialized products for the General Surgery arena.  The company’s portfolio consists of several leading devices, which make them a pioneer in this industry. 

 

About the Position

 

The VP OF SURGICAL BUSINESS is responsible for the management of an 80+ member sales organization. 

  • Taking the reins on the fastest growing business unit in this diverse company
  • Creating and implementing high level sales/sales management training courses
  • Instrumental in setting the pace of positioning the company as the undisputed leader in their niche both in product line and sales representation
  • Evaluate current sales team and structure and revise as necessary to accomplish company goals
  • Continue to increase core strengths and competencies of sales organization through development of team and product lines
  • Increase GPO and contract offerings

 

Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you MUST have the following:

 

  • 10 years sales management experience in the OR arena
  • 5 additional or concurrent years of experience at a senior level is preferred
  • Experience in creating and implementing a sales/sales management training program
  • History of hiring and developing the best sales team
  • Ability to establish meaningful metrics to measure the success, progression and areas in need of improvement on the team
  • Successful negotiations with GPO’s and contracting organizations
  • Experience integrating product and/or company acquisitions
  • Documented success in achieving company objectives and delivering on stretch goals
  • Ability to seek out and ascertain high growth potential opportunities and the leadership skills to turn them into profitable initiatives and/or ventures
  • Reflective and Deliberate decision maker
  • Provide a customer centric approach to business
  • Excellent Leadership skills – able to lead team to accomplish and exceed all goals
