BMO Capital Markets, Global Treasury Management is currently looking for a VP and Team Leader, Product Management. The Team Lead is responsible for the development, implementation and support of various product families that are part of their team which may include (remittance and deposit, payment, international, information and communication and international products) by creating a 3-year product strategies with the goal to grow revenue, improve productivity, realize operational efficiencies, meet competitive pressures and address regulatory requirements. Leads their product teams in meeting day-to-day management, service availability and project delivery for their suite of products throughout all stages of the product lifecycle. Is the lead relationship manager representing their product families to various groups within Global Treasury Managment and BMO Financial Group including Sales, Client Services, Implementation and Technology and Operations and externally through industry associations such as the, OCC, The Federal Reserve and SWIFT and external supplier relationships with organizations such as Symcor, EDS, GXS and GoVone.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Develop product roadmaps and strategies for various product families

- Develop business cases to support changes in the product mix in order to increase revenue, meet regulatory requirements and competitive pressures, improve productivity and realize operational efficiencies

- Create and facilitate the development and delivery of new products and services and changes to existing ones

- Initiate ideas for product re-positioning and drive change through market management and corporate marketing

- Monitor financial performance of existing and new products to ensure consistent revenue recognition and efficiently manage costs, including identifying and implementing any cost improvements opportunities

- Provide leadership and direction to their product team through context setting, strong performance management, and the development of individuals through coaching and training

- Manage relationships and be a point of escalation with key partners both internal and external in support of the product roadmap, day-to-day management and financial oversight

- Effectively manage day-to-day service escalations in partnership with market management and support teams to minimize client disruption and dissatisfaction and get to root cause analysis

- Represents the product to external clients, various external groups such as the OCC, Federal Reserve, SWIFT and to internal BMO Financial Group

- Includes training Global Treasury Management groups: Sales, Client Service, Implementation, Helpdesk

- Representing BMO Financial Group in regulatory committees providing bank position on matters which impact the US financial community

Knowledge & Skills:

- University degree and/or related job experience. At least 7 to 10 years work experience preferably in a product management, product development, marketing or strategic planning role.

- Proven leadership capability with experience managing a small team.

- Highly developed communication skills required, both written and verbal complemented with appropriate business demeanour since position interfaces with external clients as well as internal executives.

- Strong organizational capabilities with demonstrated initiative and self-confidence.

- Strategic thinker able to resolve complex or ambiguous issues.

- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to analyze and solve multidimensional problems.

- Ability to manage in a constantly changing environment and the ability to process information from multiple sources.

- Strong relationship management skills required for vendor management.
