VP Technology
The VP Technology is a key technology leadership role that is responsible for working closely with the leadership team to develop product and technology strategies that ensure the company is able to meet its long-term objectives. Executing on those strategies includes leading, building, developing, and day-to-day management of the infrastructure, project management, engineering, product management, and QA teams. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives.
  • Align the technology vision with the business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies.
  • Direct the planning and implementation of IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development.
  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
  • Work with Senior Management to develop and align short- and long-term business and strategic technology plans and organizational structure.
  • Champion new technology improvements and system enhancements to meet business objectives.
  • Oversee product and project management of all IT projects including resource planning, process, milestone communication and scope management.
  • Facilitate and drive product roadmap planning and communication including setting aggressive but realistic project schedules.
  • Mentor and develop team and lead recruiting efforts to expand and enhance an already talented software organization.
  • Provide leadership to quality assurance process and team to ensure the software is released with minimal risk to the business and clients/partners.
  • Lead the design, definition, planning and deployment of technology infrastructure and architecture, and implement appropriate enhancements as needed.
  • Direct the prioritization, analysis, design, development, testing and release of all builds to the production environment.


  • Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible technology application and business development experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in a retail or e-commerce environment; direct-to-consumer retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and motivate an effective team.
  • Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality products within defined time constraints and within budget.
  • Results driven, energetic, creative and hard working, with a commitment to the highest quality of care and service.
  • Experience leading & managing a technical staff at various levels and disciplines.
  • Experience leading development life cycle process and best practices.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal presentation and listening skills, and the ability to communicate complex business factors, product design and technical issues effectively.
