Sabre Systems, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Vice President (or Senior Director) Business Development to work in Alexandria VA.
Job Description:
This high- profile position will support multiple customer organizations within the Washington DC area including DOD, civilian agencies, and industry partners. The candidate will also be called on to interface at all levels of the firm as well as customer organizations. Key responsibilities include: Establish the Sabre brand and capabilities to Washington DC and regionally based customers; identify and pursue new business and customers; maintain, build, and vet a robust NCRO opportunity pipeline; capture planning; expand existing business; play a critical role in defining and executing NCRO’s strategic plan; identify and qualify short and long-term opportunities; and support the development of written and oral proposals. Other specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Maintain opportunity pipeline management of internal proposal development activities for the Northern VA office. Ensure proposal activities are proceeding in a timely fashion. Review and at times develop critical sections winning written and oral proposals. Track and report on the status of all proposal components. Prepare for proposal review teams. Perform as Capture Manager and/or Proposal Manager for major Prime or Subcontract opportunities. Develop win strategies and themes (cost/technical/management) in the pursuit of potential opportunities. Prepare for and present Opportunity Gate Reviews.
· Perform intelligence gathering on competition and customers. Formulate teaming strategies. Coordinate with the business community and strategic partners, and identify and pursue major new Prime and Subcontract opportunities outside the normal business base of NCRO. Perform market research on short and long term opportunities. Lead teams in responding to various business opportunities. Lead strategic planning for the organization
· Report to Senior Management regarding potential opportunities, bid and proposal funding requirements, proposals in work, pending, won, and lost opportunities. Facilitate efforts to develop, implement and refine standard procedures for the review, approval, and sign-off of proposals and ensure compliance with these procedures. Update and maintain Business Development Databases.
