Job Description

Validation and Verification Specialist Level I

Job Description

 

·         Responsible for performing validation and verification of baseline software systems developed for new projects, software modifications for all projects and creating database user manuals for all projects.

 

Essential Duties

 

  • Performs validation and verification of baseline software systems for new projects.
  • Performs validation and verification of software modifications for all projects.
  • Creates testing result documents for review.
  • Reviews and signs off on software testing to ensure that the testing requirements have been met when performed by another testing specialist.
  • Aids in the update or development of various required documentations to meet industry standards.
  • Assumes responsibility for creating and updating all database user manuals for UBC personnel and their clients.

Non Essential Duties

  • Conducts training on new software systems and software modifications for all projects.
  • Conducts network training for new employees.
  • Performs Information Technology related edits for software systems for all projects.
  • Aids in distribution and training related to company security badges.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Director, Information Technology.


Job Requirements:

Qualifications

 

Education

·         Associates Degree; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

 

Knowledge

·         Working knowledge of general office methods and procedures

·         Knowledge of computer software and program operation and functions

·         Experience in using clinical data software systems

·         Experience in testing clinical data systems

·         Experience in basic design elements of clinical data systems

·         Strong organizational and time management skills
