Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Verizon has an opportunity for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician (fleet mechanic) in Aloha, OR.  Duties include but are not limited to - services, repairs and maintains Company vehicles, mounted equipment and mobile tools in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate practices, procedures and schedules.

Essential Qualifications:

• Certified - ASE Master (A1 through A8 accreditation process)
• Minimum of five years mechanical experience
• Must possess a valid Oregon drivers license (class C) as well as possess the ability to obtain/retain a commercial drivers license (class A) with air brake endorsements
• Hours of operation are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  Candidate must be able to work any shift given including overtime and weekend work as required
• Essential functions include long periods of standing, bending and stooping; push/lift up to 120 lbs. and climb ladders (may work on large bucket trucks with ladders)
• Must possess basic keyboard skills (PC)
• Qualified candidates must pass pre-employment testing; Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug screen, physical and a background check

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of part coding and ordering
• Fundamental knowledge of aerial lifts and mobile tools
