Well-established vessel management company seeks entry-level accountant. Duties include:
* Reconciles bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
*Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling balance sheet items, such as, accounts receivable, cash, insurance claims.
* Prepares bimonthly cash requests for disbursements from vessel owners, processing of vendor invoices, printing of checks and A/P reports, rebilling of reimbursable expenses.
* Prepares monthly financial statements and special reports for vessels to be used by management and vessel owners.
* Analyzes and reconciles vessel payroll records and prepares quarterly payroll reports.
Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Accounting required, Knowledge of MS Office required, Accounting and Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Confidentiality, Time Managment, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills.
