Responsibilities: T
he Vice President, Client Solutions is a highly visible position within IRI and within our client’s organization. The Vice President will lead a top-tier team of direct reports in developing/using industry-leading IRI tools/services to identify/address critical client business issues ranging from pricing insight to new product development and launch/post-launch evaluation. While being hands-on with respect to handling data is essential, the Vice President’s primary function is to answer the “so what?” inherent to each project by providing insight/strategy to support both tactical and long term client goals.
Senior-level client interface is essential. The Vice President will serve as a passionate advocate for the client in advancing solutions that will best build the client’s long-term business in a way to maximize the Shareholder Value of the client and of IRI. Resources available include IRI’s world class bank of unparalleled knowledge capital, aligned sales and product development departments and a proven corporate track record of delivering strategic solutions versus data. While exceeding revenue targets is key, success is equally measured by the ability to create indispensable, long-term, solution-focused consultative partnerships.
Other responsibilities include:
- Tie contractual and custom solutions to critical client issues
- Maintain close alignment with key IRI groups: Analytics, Technology Consulting Services, Delivery and Marketing. Communicate revenue opportunities as appropriate
- Seek out and engage learning opportunities/apply key learning
- Team leadership/development including career/succession planning
- Participate in key client activities (brand planning, sales meetings...etc.)
- Work with team to identify and address “burning” client issues/track scorecard
- Review, edit and finalize all client presentations/write proposals
- Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with client
Requirements:
- Twelve or more years of blended experience incorporating functional expertise in one or more of the following; Brand Management, Marketing, Sales, Market Research, Category Management
- Regardless of functional expertise, the Vice President position requires demonstrated experience in working across ALL functions to accomplish goals in an analytically rigorous Blue Chip CPG environment
- In-depth knowledge of syndicated research products, services and methodologies
- Track record of consultative business development (internal or external) in a CPG environment involving extensive client interaction—a hunger for profitability and overall business success
- Ability to translate knowledge of CPG business functions into opportunities to advance best-in-class business solutions
- Demonstrated leadership acumen—for direct reports AND cross-functional project teams
Education:
Undergraduate and advanced degree required.
