Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Corporate Development will play an important role in all aspects of the company’s acquisitions and investments and new project initiatives.  The VP will be involved in identifying prospective target and market opportunities, performing strategic and quantitative analysis, and, in the case of acquisitions, conducting due diligence, determining appropriate valuation and structure, developing strategy for and conducting negotiations, driving activities to closure, and coordinating with other business units.  On a typical transaction, the VP will be responsible for all aspects of the transaction and will carry out tasks by managing a cross-functional team involving persons from our Business Units and Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Sales and Vertical Market teams.

Responsibilities Include:

–      Work closely with C-level executives to define and implement solutions to critical issues.

–      Lead firm-wide expansion initiatives, such as new platform development, new capability acquisitions, new approaches to market and other potentially rewarding endeavors.

–      Evaluate the merits, risks and other aspects of potential major portfolio moves including but not limited to acquisitions, licenses, divestitures, game-changing organic investments

–      Work on cross-functional project teams to evaluate and provide insight into existing and new markets, products, services, structures, and technologies.

–      Provide input, guidance and direction to the budgetary, strategic and operational planning processes.

–      Work directly and effectively with other business units’ leaders to ensure enterprise wide business integration, and coordination.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the position should have a BA or BS undergraduate degree, an MBA, and five plus years of M&A/Corporate Development and Business Operations experience running all aspects of acquisition and investment transactions.

–      A demonstrated track record of achievement is a must.

–      Some of a candidates’ experience may be drawn from advisory positions in investment banking, venture capital, legal, or consulting firms.

–      Significant work experience in a corporate (as opposed to professional services) environment is highly desired.

–      Strong skills in strategic and quantitative analysis, project management, negotiation, communication and leadership are essential.

–      Must also have demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, manage teams and supervise outside professionals.

–      An understanding of the marketing services space is a must.

–      Original / creative thinking and problem solving abilities

–      Highly polished client-facing communication and interpersonal skills

–      Outstanding ability to quickly and continually synthesize, package, prepare, develop and communicate concise, logical, fact-based storylines, content and supporting analysis.  Fast turnaround is a critical capability.

–      Ability to quickly bring senior leaders to productive, value-enhancing conclusions.

–      Experience operating in a complex, matrix management environment.
