About the Job

The successful candidate will have HR responsibility for the company's
four manufacturing operations.  Salary Range: $110K to $125K

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
.....Bachelor's Degree required
.....10 - 25 years experience in the Human Resource field 
.....Must have HR experience in a manufacturing environment
.....Position requires a broad Generalist background, experience
with labor relations and with having led Union Negotiations
.....Requires experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety
.....Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state & multi-functional
organizations
.....Requires skills in departmental staff assessment, management and 
development for an HR staff of ten to twenty members - plus skills in
leadership and organizational development

RESPONSIBILITIES:
.....VP of Human Resource is responsible for 4 manufacturing operations,
(500 employees) - one manufacturing operation being a unionized facility
.....Position is to provide direction/directives to the department staff in
the performance of their duties, work priorities & management initiatives
.....Streamline business processes to maximize efficiency & effectiveness
within the department
.....Oversee the development & administration of the following:
benefits programs; compensation structures; performance
management & organization feedback; HR association in mergers
& acquisition transitioning; organizational structure & development;
talent management & bench strength development; training and
professional development of management; college recruiting;
employee relations & culture building; employee recruitment and
retention; compliance & reporting functions; diversity & affirmative
action processes; safety & environmental leadership/training/compliance
.....Provide support to executives & management by
(linking business unit operation strategies)  (providing coaching and
guidance on employee relations & issues, legal & statutory items and
organization)  (coaching business partners to create & maintain a
work environment with high morale & productivity)
.....Provide leadership & consulting support to company executives and
management regarding goals setting, policy development and
implementation in support of achieving corporate objectives and
business growth
