Description:
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Vice President, Information Security is responsible for the overall development and delivery of a comprehensive information security and privacy program across all divisions of New York Life Retirement Plan Services: including policies that reflect current federal and state regulation, training and enforcement.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Regulation: Coordinate strategic development of cost effective policies and revise current procedures to reflect new regulations, information security, and internal procedural control over data, including appropriate coordination with New York Lifes corporate security policy team. Accountable for enforcing internal policies and procedures.
Risk Management Committee: Provide leadership to internal committee which focuses on trend analysis, meeting with associates to discuss ways to limit risk, provide incident response reporting, and develop best practices and new procedures. Business Contingency Plan: participate in planning and business exercises to limit risk
Record Retention: ensure New York Life Retirement Plan Services is maintaining record regulation policies.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum seven years of experience in financial services information/data security or related field, including back office operations
- Audit and Control experience: ability to evaluate control environments and determine improvement/implement control improvement opportunities for a complex entity
- Excellent project management skills: demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of audiences
- Solid analysis skills to be able to identify and understand root causes of issues
- Retirement Administration experience preferred
- HIPPA experience preferred
- SAS70 experience preferred
