Vice President, Litigation Department Head

Position Summary : Management and oversight of all health care litigation, regulatory investigations and dispute resolution matters for CVS Caremark

Provide strategic advice and direction concerning litigation and regulatory investigation matters

Supervise other department health care litigation attorneys

Serve as member of legal department management team

Collaborate with Legal Department's Health Care Services department and other legal colleagues regarding liability and risk mitigation strategies

Coordination of outside counsel

Case management and budgeting

Oversight of discovery, review of pleadings and other litigation functions

Qualifications :
**Must have healtcare class action, qui tam and government investigations experience.

A graduate of top tier law school with excellent academic credentials;commitment to high standards in work product; strong business acumen; excellent written and oral communications skills; initiative, drive and self-confidence; ability to collaborate effectively and work as a team player with legal and business colleagues

Education : Undergraduate degree and juris doctorate required; preferred top tier law school; member in good standing of applicable state bar association(s), with bar membership in IL, AZ or RI preferred

Experience : At least 10 years of health care litigation and/or regulatory investigations experience; experience with pharmacy benefits management, retail pharmacy or other health care services preferred; combination of law firm and in-house counsel experience preferred
