REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Vice President of Original Equipment Marketing - Americas reports directly to the Global OE Marketing Director of the Business Unit.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual will:
- Have a thorough understanding of the North and South American OE (Original Equipment) markets, as well as a working knowledge of the Worldwide OE markets in order to guide the strategic and tactical orientations of the business unit.
- Be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of the OE Marketing teams: product marketing, strategic marketing, advanced marketing and innovation, and partnership marketing.
- Provide the Business Unit with strategic input to the 10-year planning process for North and South America.
- Oversee, through North America product marketing, the specification of new product lines to assure the company has a competitive product portfolio to meet future market needs.
- Direct the deployment and valorization of innovation into the North America OE market.
- Develop and direct communications that promote products to OE manufacturers via technology shows, auto shows and various media.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree and MBA in marketing are required. A technical degree or technical background is highly favorable.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 12+ years progressive marketing experience in the automotive OE industry.
- Extensive experience in defining and implementing marketing strategies that have led to sustained profit and growth.
- Extensive experience in leading product planning and development.
- Experience in developing and executing global OE products and programs.
- Demonstrated a great track record of building customer relationships and exceeding customer expectations.
- Significant experience in managing a multi-million dollar marketing budget.
