Overview


Alexander Manufacturing Company is a leading promotional products supplier, recognized for excellent service, strong company culture focused on teamwork, integrity and “does what it takes” attitude. We develop, produce and sell high quality promotional items nationally through a broad base of distributors.  We focus on 3 lines of business; tools, desk accessories and personal care.


We have an immediate opportunity for an effective sales leader with sales and sales management experience to join our team in St. Louis, MO.  We’re looking for someone who can bring the vision to life and is a good fit with our values.


 


Responsibilities


Plan, direct and implement the company’s domestic sales strategies and policies in order to achieve desired sales and earnings objectives. Provide leadership and direction to departmental managers, Alexander sales team and a network of independent sales representatives.


Daily activities for this position include sales management, sales planning, key account management, sales staff training and development and tradeshow effectiveness. 


 


Qualifications


·         Recent and deep experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.


·         Strong selling skills with a track record in establishing relationships with a variety of customer types.


·         Minimum 5 years of experience as a sales leader with proven results.


·         Recruiting and hiring experience.


·         Results-focused approach and commitment to go the extra mile for clients.


·         Excellent verbal communications skills and experience in public speaking and presentations.


·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills.


·         Attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while managing


            an active travel schedule.


·         Adept at developing and managing budgets and timelines with focus on sales and margin.


·         Able to coach, develop and motivate sales people to deliver results.


·         Minimum bachelor’s degree in business related field required.
