The Vice President Sales Strategy & Planning develops and drives the strategy and direction for Henkel Corporation products competing in the Body and Hair Care sectors. The Vice President collaborates with the marketing, sales, finance and operations teams to provide category development, customer marketing, trade spending, shopper marketing and sales administrative insights to increase performance and efficiency and attain company goals.


The role delivers excellence in execution for all brands, trade channels and customers by analyzing fact-based data to create consumer-focused business plans. The position responds to industry, consumer and competitive trends to achieve Henkel's financial goals.




What we offer


Responsible for the holistic and strategic planning and analysis of Henkel's portfolio of products at trade
Develop annual business plan for the US designed to achieve category and brand volume objectives. Supports achievement of volume, distribution and market share goals.
Drives revenue growth through implementation of category strategies collaborating with Sales/Customer Development, Marketing and Retailer Brands leadership teams.
Leads Customer Marketing/Trade Spending, Category Development, and Customer Operations functions providing strategic direction and oversight.
Drives sales planning& analysis process; advises Sales/Customer Development Leadership team on opportunities, risks, and changes to strategy
Participate and provide guidance in developing sales goals
Provide guidance on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts
Recommends actions for inventory management for maximum revenue utilization
Provide insights into competitive market conditions
Leads teams to recommend tactical solutions including pricing, trade spending, promotions, and shopper marketing initiatives to meet targets and/or build businesses
Coordinate & leads national sales meetings to effectively communicate our "go to market" strategies.
Works with all functional areas including Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Distribution, and Logistics facilitating issues and opportunities for business resolution
Represent the voice of Sales & Customer as the "Chief of Staff' for SVP Sales which this VP strategy role reports in to
Lead and develop team members
Ensure alignment and collaboration with keycross-functional stakeholders

Qualification:

Who we are looking for


Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
15-20 years of Sales and/or Marketing in Consumer Products comprised of\: Sales planning, strategy, category management and/or customer marketing experience within a traditional consumer products company
5+ yearsof direct selling experience for large key customers
 
Additional requirements\:
•Strong analytical  thinking,  financial  acumen,  and entrepreneurship  skills
•Proven success creating marketing and trade plans to generate positive ROI
•Strong leadership, adaptation and interpersonal skills
•Action oriented and excellent decision-making skills
•Experience workingwithin a consumerfocused, brand and private label centric organization
•Advanced presentation skills
