Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Vice President for its Sunnyvale office to help lead technology accounts. Ideal candidates are creative, well-rounded strategic thinkers who are passionate about storytelling. Strength in account management, media relations, writing, team management and overall development and execution of PR programs is a prerequisite. Executive communications expertise is also desired. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and manage a team and take on a significant leadership role for the office.

Responsibilities include:

·  Serve as strategic counsel to clients and provide consistent results for clients

·  Manage day-to-day client activities including team management

·  Demonstrate a thorough understanding of a client's business and industry

·  Develop long-term plans and program recommendations for clients

·  Cultivate new business opportunities

·  Responsible for client relations, review meetings, and client budget approval

Qualifications:

·  BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field

·  Minimum of 7 years Technology public relations experience required; agency experience preferred

·  Experience managing major technology public relations accounts

·  Strong leadership, supervisory and management skills, as well as the ability to motivate teams

·  Superior media skills required, as well as strong client management experience
