Vice President, Treasurer

 
Reporting to the RSC Chief Financial Officer and working closely with other Finance and senior management staff, the Vice President, Treasurer provides broad senior leadership and expertise to RSC's financing-related activities. This includes direct and significant responsibility for the Company's debt and equity capital market strategy, relationships and transactions.
 
Risk Management: Proactively manages basic treasury related financial risks including liquidity, refinancing, interest rate and Forex related risks. Works with banks and advisors to develop and implement suitable hedging strategies for the Company.
 
Bank Relations: Develops and manages banking relationships for asset-based lending providers and with other  service providers such as credit card processing and capital leasing companies.
 
Rating Agencies: Develops and manages relationships with ratings agencies (Moody's and Standard and Poor's) and ensures that our results and forecasts are current.  
 
Capital Markets and Structure: Closely monitors capital markets to maximize opportunities and take advantage of time-sensitive events. Works with the CFO and senior management to develop and manage the short- to long-term capital market structure of the Company. Together with the CFO and senior management, works with the RSC Board of Directors to help shape the Company's capital structure strategy in order to maximize shareholder value consistent with established risk guidance.
 
Treasury: Effectively leads and manages the treasury function and ongoing work of the department based in Scottsdale, Houston, Plymouth and Charlotte. Manages the treasury systems to achieve maximum, effective performance. Supports Investor Relations activities as necessary.
 
People Management: Oversees the recruitment, training, and development of qualified professional employees. Communicates job expectations and fosters a collaborative climate. Provides guidance and mentoring for staff.
 
Special Projects: Performs special projects at the direction of the CEO or CFO.


The successful candidate will be a veteran finance executive with demonstrated proficiency in leading Treasury functions and managing contemporary capital market transactions, both debt and equity. This experience is typically acquired in ten or more years' progressively-responsible, related experience in a Fortune 1000, publicly-held company and coupled with a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Relevant, graduate education such as an MBA or certification as a CPA preferred.
 
This position requires proven capability as an articulate, confident leader with a professional style that can quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships and credibility with Company senior management and other Finance staff, the Board of Directors, external finance and investment communities, and RSC employees and management. The ideal candidate will have the desire, drive, flexibility and breadth of experience/accomplishments to capably compete for the CFO role in the future.
 
Periodic travel is required. Additionally, there may be occasionally heavy travel demands related to particular assignments or special projects.
