Vice President - Operations
We are an early stage company that collects roofing scrap derived from reroofing projects, processes this material and then sells processed material for use in Asphalt Paving and other applications. The company was founded in April 2009 by 4 partners with extensive experience in paving, roofing, recycling of roofing scrap, government and investing. The company currently has physical operations in 3 states and is now seeking to expand operations into other states.
The collections group within the company is responsible for all aspects of operating our collection facilities where our customers dispose of their roofing waste. The VP of Operations will be one of a team of 3 that run the company reporting to the Board through the President.
The role will include management of the following;
§ Compliance and safety
o Safety of our team members is always our top priority and can not be compromised.
§ Sales and Customer relationships management
o Ensuring optimal usage of our Facilities by our customers through extensive use of company CRM system
§ Facility operations
o Overall responsibility for collection facility safety, compliance, operations, management and optimization.
§ Process optimization
o Create and manage processes within the collections group utilizing extensively the company’s information management system and seeking to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
§ Staff Management
o Management of all multiple levels of staff within the collections group, including, site operators, district managers, customer support and inside sales, compliance, etc.
§ Vendor management
o Negotiations and management of multiple vendors, nationally and locally
§ New Site development
o Work with new site development division to approve new facilities and bring them online.
§ Coordination with other divisions, including
o Production group for onsite processing of collected materials
o Logistics for delivery of processed end product
o Disposal of waste and other materials collected at facilities
o Finance to optimize business model fro each facility
o Information systems to optimize use of company ERP, accounting and CRM systems
o HR and corporate
§ Management of budgets and processes
§ Regular reporting for distribution to shareholders
The ideal candidate will
Start date: Interviews in Nov and December with a view to a start date in January or sooner.
Compensation: Base salary with aggressive bonus.
Location: Ideal location is Des Moines IA or Kansas City is also MO. However other locations
will be considered.
