Purpose:
The Workplace Technology organization provides customers with technology and services to access and use business applications, systems and other Schwab products and services that they need in order to complete their every day jobs. Standard desktop, laptop or other personal computer configurations (e.g. blade or thin-client) and peripherals such as network printers are part of the offering as well as e-mail, remote access, and collaboration solutions. The organization provides design, engineering, and lifecycle management of the infrastructure that powers these services.
In this role you will:
Have primary responsibility for engineering and third level support of our Video Conferencing environment.
Have responsibility for the design of collaborative spaces (rooms, lectures halls, classrooms, etc), design of video conferencing infrastructure and product (software / hardware) integration.
To Be successful n this role, you will need:
· Advanced knowledge of video conferencing technology
· Expert A/V experience,
· Experience with electrical and facilities designs,
· Networking knowledge (IP and ISDN).
· Functional knowledge of the Polycom suite of products; HDX and VSX, RPX (telepresence), CMA, and RMX.
· May also need to support older gatekeepers, gateways, MCUs, and endpoints from other vendors including Tandberg, Codian, and Radvision.
· Familiarity with Microsoft AD and OCS, and a broad spectrum of hardware solutions for A/V custom rooms such as Crestron, AMX, Gentner, video switches, amps, microphones, projectors, screens, LCD displays, etc.
