You’ll join the leadership team that will direct and determine the company’s success. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and Owner.  You’ll be part of the fastest growing segment of the beverage industry; energy drinks. We distribute Red Bull Energy Drink, which is the brand leader in the fastest growing segment of the beverage industry.  Taking this position at Voss Distributing means you’ll be part of the management team and will play a direct role in the growth of the company. 


 


We don’t have layers of bureaucracy.  You will have ownership of your area of responsibility and will be expected to build it, manage it, and run it.


 


The Position


As Operations Coordinator, you’ll run the day-to-day operations.  Your sole purpose is to find ways to make the company more prolific by providing effective methods in its business operations.  Communication, internally and externally, to customers along with handling issues is a top priority.  Issues you may face would include shipment delays, client satisfaction, and employee problems.  This is when your leadership skills come into play, as Operations Coordinators have to make effective decisions that will not only help the company run smoothly, but also serve to prevent difficult situations in the future.



 


Responsibilities will include:



  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures throughout the sales organization, including initial employee orientation

  • Ensure compliance to market standards and sales goals throughout all regions

  • Fleet and warehouse management oversight including inventory, shrinkage reduction, and point-of-sale

  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies and policy/procedure enhancements

  • Administrate promotional programs, funds, and agreement compliance for customers

  • Compile, report and analyze data related to sales goals and opportunities, budget and inventory, market standards, efficiency and customer satisfaction

  • Manage sales and operational projects including budget, resource, and schedule management determined by the President and Red Bull

  • Key conduit of communication and liaison to Red Bull on tactical implementation of their requests/projects

  • Provide sales supportive research and presentation material as requested by General Manager

 


Do you have the job experience required for this position?



  • Demonstrate a systematic approach to management

  • 4-year college degree

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint including pivot tables, data sorting, formatting, and creating graphs/slides

  • Experienced in following franchise or corporate directed logistics/merchandising system (preferred)

  • Experience working with route-based sales (preferred)

Position Requirements:



  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Valid Iowa drivers license

  • Must pass drug screening

 


Compensation and benefits


Salary plus bonus paid on profitable growth.  $45,000 first year is realistic.


Benefit package: Health care, up to 3% dollar for dollar match in a retirement program.
