Job Description

WEB Programmer with JAVA expertise

WEB PROGRAMMER WITH strength in JAVA and WEB applications...

We have an immediate opening at one of our premiere corporate client locations in the Midland, Michigan area

* Will provide technical expertise, systems administration and implement overall changes to the web  technology services that we provide to our client, a Fortune 100 global corporation.

* Will also be involved in department administration, parts replacement, global video streaming, DVD duplication and web content support.

* This position calls for flexibility and adaptability to the job requirements, which can change continuously with our client’s business demands, priorities and urgencies.  This position has some evening, nights, holidays, on call and weekend assignments.

Requirements:

* Complete proficiency with ASP (legacy and .NET), XML, AJAX, FLEX (Flash), ActionScrip.

- strong JAVA proficiency is desired

* Working knowledge of JavaScript, Vbscript, Microsoft IIS, HTML, LDAP, CSS, ADO, Windows Networking, Active Directory, LAN/WAN/VLAN.

* IMPORTANT: Must have the skills and ability to work with MS SQL 2000 Administration, designing queries and stored procedures.

* Understanding of hardware and software in the Internet environment. Understanding of design capabilities and constraints

* position requires understanding of today’s communication technology, business, and office procedures

* Working Knowledge of the Internet and related content - search engines, domain names, etc.

* Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs

* Will be able to develop a network of effective working relationships to help the work group meet its goals

 

Fast-paced project timeframes, re-adjustment of priorities, and just-in-time assignments will help challenge your skills and knowledge.
The ability to assume personal ownership and accountability is essential.
Are you a self-starter, someone who is able to work individually and as a team member? 
 

EDUCATION/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

* Degree in communication technology, and / or tech writing, or Computer Science, multimedia is preferred..
* Verifiable experience in Internet content, AV/multimedia and web html experience is necessary1-3 years experience in a corporate environment or
customer service experience.

* This is not a trainee or entry-level gig
