POSITION:
The Western Regional Sales Director can be based anywhere from Denver to the West Coast.Ideal locations would be:Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Phoenix, or Denver. The WRSD will lead the company’s revenue growth goals for the Western region through its wholesale distribution customers. As a member of the Wholesale Distribution Leadership Team, you will be a key contributor to the strategic direction and decisions for the company’s largest business channel. You will have direct supervision of area managers and indirect supervision of segment specialists (Dealer/Builder) for new construction and R&R within the Western Region (Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in strategic planning, translate vision into regional strategies, business plans, budgets and targets for region market share, sales and profit growth.
Assist Area Managers with business development planning for specific market segments and channel
Provide forecast input to support the operations planning process
Develop and maintain relationships with top distributions customers, strategic dealers and builders
Select, hire, lead, manage, coach, and develop Managers and Regional Teams
Grow total regional sales
Manage metrics:sales revenue, profitability, market share growth, and corporate goals
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sales/Marketing preferred
Minimum of 10-15 years of successful sales management experience in the building products industry, managing upwards of $50M in business
Experience and knowledge of the Wholesale Distribution Business Channel
Proven experience in strategically growing a sales territory and developing business plans
Strong planning, organizing and change management capabilities
Demonstrated successful leadership experience and a track record of coaching, developing and mentoring talent
Action oriented and results focused
Ability to travel 60%
Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Western Region
Ability to relocate nationally in the future
