Job Description
Work as part of a team to communicate news and key messages to targeted internal and external audiences through a network of interrelated web sites and tools and through work with media outlets and social networking sites. The writer/news coordinator will write articles about activities of faculty, staff, and students and serve as the main media contact for day-to-day requests from print and electronic media to interview faculty. The news coordinator will post news to School websites, disseminate news to external news outlets, be responsible for updatinf and improving key web content, and participate in maintaining a digital photo management site used by all team members and the School.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in journalism or communications, with two years of news writing experience at a newspaper or a TV or radio station. Must be experienced and comfortable using a variety of web-based technology including content management systems and digital images and be up to date with social networking and bookmarking tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Digg.
