We have an immediate need for a DB2 DBA
JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI IT Solutions is currenlty looking to fill multiple DB2 DBA positions in Boulder, CO. W2 12 month renewable contract. Ideal candidates will have experience with the following:
• Maintain DB2 system administration ID & privileges, database and object access.
• Provide 24x7 severity 1 & 2 DBMS support.
• Incident (Root cause analysis) reviews.
• Manage error logs and analyze error output.
• Utilize problem and change management.
• Monitor DB2 resources and transaction logs and take pro-active and corrective action.
• Maintain DB2 HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery)
• Maintain DB2 DPROP replication.
• Manage the DB2 database backup strategy and take corrective action when appropriate.
• Restore DB2 database and previous configuration if needed.
• Perform DB2 support using IBM defined DBMS tools.
• Assist in the support of application problems.
• Install and configure DB2 software and new databases.
• Support DB2 software version and fix pack upgrades.
• Manage DB2 database and database manager configuration parameters.
• Manage and perform physical DB2 maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain database physical capacity and performance
