The position is responsible for accounting and analytical support for worldwide operations. This includes inventory reserve analyses, worldwide product costing, cost initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and tracking inventory levels and cost elements such as operations spending, warranty, and other costs. Provides financial transparency to the Business Units and Corporate. As a key member of the Operations executive team, this role participates in the development and execution of Operations initiatives, including an ever evolving worldwide Operations footprint. Involvement in acquisitions and system integrations. Must be able to challenge and resolve issues in a complex global working environment that is highly dynamic.
Primary Duties
• Responsible for the integrity of cost of goods sold and inventory as part of the financial statements.
• Understands and communicates Operations results and trends to Business Unit and Corporate teams. Recommends appropriate course of action when results differ from plan.
• Develops and maintains quarterly forecast and annual budgets.
• Develops and executes key initiatives as a part of the Operations and Corporate Finance teams.
•Continuous improvement of financial reporting and close processes
• Involved in many projects ranging from acquisition due diligence and integration to setting up an operations footprint in a new country.

Characteristics / Skills
• Current understanding of accounting procedures, i.e. U. S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong analytical and planning experience in a global, publicly traded company.
• Ability to work with team in articulating and driving financial and operational strategies.
• Possess solid understanding of financial impact of business decisions. Ability to define and achieve business goals, and to drive to resolution on critical issues.
• Ability to communicate across business functions and business units.
• Extensive knowledge of business systems software and ERP solutions, i.e. Oracle
Education / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• MBA preferred.
• CPA required.
• Big 4 experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in the accounting profession with publicly traded company.
• Minimum 3 years in a management capacity.
