Job Description

A leading Gulf South company with interests in stevedoring, terminal operations and cold storage operations throughout the Gulf Region is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Controls warehouse inventory by coordinating movement of cargo for shipping
  
• Picks-up cargo by monitoring movement of product.
  
• Stores cargo by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to shipping requirements; updating location database.
  
• Prepares cargo for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems.
  
• Verifies cargo inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusting entries.
  
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records; maintaining databases.
  
• Monitors inventory by completing counts as required.
  
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  
• Accomplishes distribution and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience of outside vessel operations
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Basic computer skills, AS400 experience a plus
  
• Ability to work under pressure at a fast pace
  
• Rely on experience and judgement to  accomplish goals
  
• Must be analytical, detail and team oriented, flexible and decisive
  
• Must accept change well, as industry is ever changing
  
• Carry out other duties as directed
