Warehouse Manager (20091136)

Job Duties Include: A Warehouse Manager assists with providing safe and appropriate pharmacy products, medical equipment and services to Walgreens-Option Care patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Walgreens-Option Care, the state's professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The Warehouse Manager assists with the packing and timely delivery of products and services to Walgreens-Option Care patients. The Warehouse Manager uses discretion and independent judgment to assist with the purchasing and receipt of products and equipment for the operation. The Warehouse Manager supervises the delivery technicians, assists with equipment tacking and maintenance and coordinates the shipping of product. The Warehouse Manager will also assist Management with the total management of the Warehouse operations. Assists with the dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniques and following Walgreens-Option Care's policies and procedures. Contacts patients and/or caregivers to schedule a delivery and determine special needs. Coordinates the delivery of medical supplies to patients in a timely and cost-efficient manner, utilizing Walgreens-Option Care delivery staff and outside couriers as needed. Confirms delivery tickets after delivery or shipment. Accurately logs equipment issued to patients. Is responsible for the appropriate maintenance of fleet vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines. Maintains the warehouse work area and receiving/shipping area in a professional and safe manner. Manages time effectively to fulfill responsibilities. Performs product purchasing, inventory and equipment management. Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents and equipment error and/or failures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years experience in purchasing, warehouse and/or delivery operations.
  • 1 year experience supervising warehouse and/or delivery operations.
  • Experience purchasing medical products, equipment and supplies.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Self-directed with excellent time management skills and able to work within a schedule.
  • Current valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Prior experience working in an infusion pharmacy or DME operation. Completion of 2-4 years of higher education with an emphasis business management.
