Warehouse Manager, Night Shift

International Shipping Company is searching for a Warehouse Manager to join our Miami facility.  This position will oversee the management of receiving, loading, and  cargo handling.   This position will be responsible  for the overall physical plant, security, safety of the facility, as well as ensuring compliance with company unit goals and governmental requirements.  To be  considered for this position you MUST have a high-school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred), 5 years experience working in cargo inspection, handling, and warehouse operations, including management of personnel.

Primary Duties

• 
  
  Responsible for management of all cargo receiving, storage and loading activities.


• 
  
  Directs the development of subordinate personnel (i.e., hires, counsels, reviews, disciplines and terminates).


• 
  
  Plans work activity based on unit productivity goals. Ensures that reporting is accurate and timely so accomplishment of goals can be projected.


• 
  
  Confirms that internal and external customer issues are resolved according to company philosophy


• 
  
  Ensures that company objectives and governmental requirements are consistently met.    


• 
  
  Analyzes work processes and procedures. Examines new technologies for future growth opportunities and evaluates its impact on company standards and financial situations.


• 
  
  Plans and monitors budget performance compared to previous projections to verify managements objectives. May develop justifications for unforeseen budget situations.


• 
  
  Makes sure that all company and department managers are abided by for safety and efficient productivity reasons.


• 
  
  Conducts focus groups with other department managers to formulate policies and procedures for the most effective performance results possible.


• 
  
  Responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, cleanliness of the facility, safety of personnel and customers, and security of facility and cargo.


• 
  
  Directs educational processes for Haz-Mat, CLP and safe cargo handling.
