ENTERPRISEONE ORDER TO CASH ARCHITECT – FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION

Consumer products company searching for an Enterpriseone Order to Cash (OTC) Architect. This Company is engaged in the deployment of Oracle's JD Edwards (JDE)  EnterpriseOne ERP.  Concurrent with this implementation is the institution of Shared Service Centers for Finance and Order to Cash. For the OTC processes both the JDE solution and the Shared Services model will be implemented in February of 2010.  This initial implementation will encompass the Company's North America, Europe, and Travel Retail business. A subsequent phase of activity is planned to incorporate our businesses in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, China, and Taiwan.


 


The Company has partnered with IBM to design and implement the JDE solution and the Shared Services model. In this regard, IBM has, amongst other things, provided the Subject Matter Expertise (SME) required to design and configure JDE. It is necessary for the client to assume the SME role .


 


Critical to this requirement is the EnterpriseOne OTC Architect. The successful candidate will work with Logistics and IT staff to affect a JDE knowledge transfer from IBM as to the design being implemented. During this period, the candidate will also be expected to learn and assimilate the Company’s business model and to develop a solid working relationship with the global Logistics organization. The candidate will also be expected to gain a robust knowledge of the full Logistics systems product and solution suite, including the Warehouse Management System, TRAX System, and the JBA System supporting the business processes It is expected that this period will elapse some six months.


 


Moving forward, it is expected that the new Global OTC solution will also be expanded to embrace other Logistics processes which are now under-automated or require better integration. In these major efforts, the candidate is expected to be able to execute all phases of a normal Project Management Life Cycle, including but not limited to Requirements Definition, Business Case Development, Software Selection, Testing, Training, Vendor Management, and Project Management.



Some of these expansions will be JDE based, Others will be provided by other software providers, In all cases, the candidate will be expected to establish and manage a systems and process architecture for Global Logistics, assuring that all elements operate seamlessly within the Logistics domain, and with the other domains (such as Finance).


Must demonstrate skills in the following areas:



  • JDE OTC configuration, rules, and parameters
  • Solid understanding of Logistics business processes
  • Proven ability to work with, interact, and influence senior business managers and other business executives
  • Logistics Best Practices knowledge including OTC (Sales Order Management, A/R, Pricing), Warehouse Management, Transportation.
  • Full Project Life Cycle Management.
  • Management of software supplier relationships
  • Systems and process architecture development and management
  • Global, CPG experience

 Technical Capabilities



  • Demonstrable knowledge of JD Edwards
  • UNIX/Oracle environments
  • Middleware integration tools
  • Business Intelligence tools

 Other Qualifications:



  • Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Business, or related fields. Experience and/or other training will be considered in lieu of a degree. An advance degree is a decided plus
  • 10 plus years of relevant experience in Logistics systems solutions
  • 5 plus years of JDE Architect responsibilities including OTC
  • Working knowledge of other JDE modules such as Finance and Accounting.
  • Extensive experience in global consumer goods settings
  • Excellent communications (written and oral), change management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed, global environment
  • Extensive experience operating with business teams at the highest levels
  • Excellent organization and time management, vendor management, and project management skills
  • A high sense of the importance of business urgencies
  • Solid quantitative / analytical skills and good business judgment.
