This client is in the SERVICE INDUSTRY. They employ 2000+ people east of the Mississippi, are in 16 states, and their revenue is about $110MM. They provide "facility support services", primarily for manufacturing companies. They might start by handling all the "housekeeping" but will then move into painting, moving, landscaping, security, packaging - all those "functions" that the Facilities/Operations person at the plant really doesn't want to bother with. Most of their "contracts" are "long term" and "regional". About 60%-75% of their business is with pharmaceuticals - Eli Lilly and Pfizer are among their clients. POSITION: Warehouse/Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage approximately 70 warehouse workers, such as fork lift operators, shipping and receiving clerks, and utility people. This person is working for a "service provider" who has a contract to "manage" this warehouse for their client. Therefore, this person must have great "customer relations" skills, too. Will interface with "client". The warehouse stores large, non-woven rolls of paper. This person will have four supervisors reporting to him/her. It is a 24/7 operation.
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree Preferred, 3+ years managing a manufacturing warehouse, ability to effectively supervise warehouse workers, strong customer relations skills, strong communication skills, ability to manage a budget, ability to run a 24/7 operation.
SALARY: $60K-$70K
