About the Job

What you will do:


Accountable for managing the Aftermarket Parts warehouse and facility operations.  Working as a member of the team, this position is directly responsible for receiving, packaging, stocking, shipping, and overall fulfillment of parts orders.  This includes daily management of and providing direction to all freight suppliers, which are a vital component of our business.  Additionally, this individual is responsible for managing facility maintenance and upkeep as well as the associated safety programs for the location.  This position will also participate regularly in the development and execution of the Aftermarket Parts strategy and any relevant strategies associated with Global Parts initiatives.


How you will do it: 

  •  Directly supervises 25-35 employees in the Aftermarket Parts Warehouse Operation.

  • Oversee daily parts receiving and stocking activities (($15m+ inventory).

  • Manage all parts pre-packing activities.

  • Complete weekly and biweekly payroll for all permanent and temporary staff.

  • Oversee daily order fulfillment and shipping activity.  Insure that all customer orders are fulfilled timely and accurately.  Insure that all DOT rules and regulations are being enforced.

  • Support annual Physical Inventory, including the planning, taking physical inventory, and the reconciliation of the overall inventory in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Work closely with Principal Quality Engineer and Materials Manager to ensure proper and adequate packaging materials and techniques are being used in a cost-effective manner.

  • Work closely with Corporate Supply Chain/Logistics as well as Materials & Supply Chain Managers to ensure optimization of freight carriers, rates, and overall management of shipping activities.

  • Work closely with Customer Service Team to ensure order priorities are being established and any expediting requirements are being met.


Facility Maintenance

  • Oversee all facility maintenance, including cleaning, electric & lights, plumbing, security, and any other building-related activities.


Safety Program

  • Maintain all OSHA safety and corporate training records.

  • Insure all employees are trained in proper equipment handling and PPE.

  • Administer Fork Truck training and certification process.

Strategy Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate regularly in the development and execution of the Aftermarket Parts strategy and any relevant strategies associated with Global Parts initiatives.

  • Facilitate departmental and individual meetings with Warehouse team members in order to assign tasks outside of the daily routine, to review the progress on those tasks, and to communicate with the team any possible changes and/or feedback.  Also lead LRP planning, preparation, and communication activities for the Warehouse team.

  • Develop procedures and process maps for all warehouse functions and maintain monthly KPI reports as required.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related technical/operational field strongly preferred with additional Warehouse experience and management responsibility also desirable.

  • Strong process and operational knowledge is essential.  Additionally desirable is knowledge of current warehouse & distribution methods, packaging materials &techniques, and strong communication & leadership qualities.

  • 3+ years’ experience in Warehouse management with prior departmental management & leadership responsibilities required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.  Understanding of business software packages (Lawson, MRP, CRM), including web applications is also necessary.  More detailed understanding of database structures.
