WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

A large regional food distributor with annual sales surpassing $100MM has a position available for an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor for their HQ and Distribution Facility in West Caldwell, NJ.  This company is a recognized industry leader in the area of premium quality conventional, organic and value added fresh cut produce as well as specialty cheeses and bakery items.  

The client is seeking a strong leader with experience in a union environment. 

Duties

• Supervise day shift operation in refrigerated warehouse 
  
• Oversee 7-8 union employees 
  
• Monitor productivity 
  
• Assure proper receipt of merchandise and inspect for quality
  
• Maintain inventory control 
  
• Maintain proper slotting procedures  
  
• Coordinate activity with night supervisor
  
• Interact with Sales Team and Buying Office
  
• Maintain adherance to safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements

• 
  
  3+ years in a warehouse supervisory role
  
  
• 
  
  Food experience required - perishables strongly preferred
  
  
• Computer literacy - Word, Excel
  
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills
