Warehouse Service Associate
Shipping/Receiving, Material Handling

Direct Hire - $11.50/hour
Third Shift (9:30pm-6:00am)
OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED

A global electrical industry leader is hiring a qualified Warehouse Service Associate to work the Third Shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is accountable for ensuring the accurate receiving, processing and/or shipment of new and/or returned merchandise.

The job requires repeated lifting (approximately 60 pounds), bending, reaching, twisting and standing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Warehouse Service Associate:


  1. Operates assorted tools and equipment.
  2. May rotate among various subfunctions of Material Handling such as receiving, checking, picking, packing, and/or shipping.
  3. Transports merchandise onto work tables, pallets, conveyors, push carts, bins, shelves, trailers, staging areas, forklifts and/or trucks.
  4. Counts all merchandise shipped and received to maintain inventory.
  5. Compares amount and type of merchandise received with invoices and purchase orders.
  6. Operates motorized Material Handling equipment.
  7. Reads the following in order to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed:

    • Production Schedule
    • Customer Order
    • Work Order
    • Shipping Order
    • Requisition


  8. Locates and prepares product(s) for shipping and affixes proper label.
  9. Checks order to ensure accuracy.
  10. May load order(s) into truck.
  11. May use a Forklift, Pallet Rider and/or Reach Truck at various times throughout the day.

Requirements:

Required Skills for the Warehouse Service Associate position include the following:


  • Repeated lifting (60 pounds), bending, reaching, twisting and standing required
  • Must be able to stand, reach (to ground and above head) and turn for 7-8 hours per day
  • Should be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance for 7-8 hours per day
  • Must be flexible in availability, including overtime if necessary
