Warehouse Shift Supervisor
Responsibilities include:
- Enforce and verify adherence to all procedures within company and OSHA Safety, Corporate/Site Quality System, Operational Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Assure the internal and external flow of finished products is maintained per established site/corporate procedures
- Responsible for the safe operation of forklift, slip-sheet and/or clamp truck in both the warehouse and production areas.
- Supervision of the Finished Goods Shift Lead, Finished Goods Material Handlers, and Shipping Clerk
- Responsible for the training of new associates
- Assure product is preloaded and/or staged as per outbound schedule.
- Address any maintenance needs for structure, docks or lift trucks.
- Interview and evaluate Logistics personnel related to assigned shift.
- Responsible for implementing work instructions as they pertain to ISO Standards.
- Ensure proper staffing to meet daily requirements
- Responsible for the accuracy of transactions, product scanning, and finished goods inventory
- Assure product is shipped in FIFO sequence.
- Assist in the management of site trailer inventory.
- Assure dock utilization is maintained
- Interface with other members of plant management to facilitate resolution of problems and mission accomplishment.
- Recommend measures to improve logistics procedures, resource utilization, and quality of product.
- Evaluate product storage and oversee the consolidation of product
- Assist Quality Department with shipping related activities.
- Perform inventory duties as required
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse
- All other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications include:
- Minimum two years of warehouse and management experience.
- Minimum two-year business related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Capability to follow and give instructions.
- Able to handle workflow and situations in a professional manner.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
- Good computer skills, working with Windows based programs.
