Luxury Automotive Dealer seeks experienced and motivated Warranty Administrator
Job Purpose
Prepares, records, and submits warranty claims and reconciles them accordingly. Develops, oversees and continually improves the warranty administration processes of the center.
Primary Responsibilities
· Process warranty claims on a timely basis.
· Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
· Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
· Review all claims prior to submission, including the DCS vehicle claims history printout. Clarify any concerns about the cause or correction of a claim.
· Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off.
· Analyze the Warranty Composite Report and provide an overview of the condition of center warranty claims to service management.
· Track warranty parts by ensuring proper tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed.
· Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor, or to be scrapped.
· File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor.
· Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
Requirements
Skills - Experience
· Understanding of basic automotive technology and the repair process
· Excellent computer skills
Attributes
· Ability to work cooperatively with service technicians and other service and parts personnel.
· Ability to analyze complex reports and draw appropriate conclusions
· Previous experience as a Warranty Administrator/Manager highly preferred
Education
· College degree preferred or equivalent experience
