Our client is building, deploying a responsive and effective web-delivered applications to support a Federal Agengy and to serve the American people. We need creative developers to help us do that even better.

Some technologists prefer to work behind the scenes - deep in middle and back-end logic and data. We do that too, but today we are seeking professionals who really get the Web and want to work out at the very front of the program, where the system meets the user.  For these positions our perfect programmer lives and breathes web technologies, brings a powerful work ethic, and has proven success in the tools and environments shown below.

If this is you and you join the team, we will ask you to design and write code for challenging new development projects as well as maintain and migrate critical legacy applications.

Specifically, these developers will:

• Build and maintain Java/J2EE web applications using leading-edge technologies
• Communicate and consult with cross-functional teams in developing optimal web design solutions
• Participate in design and architecture reviews of new applications and major system enhancements
• Follow standard software development life cycle processes and participate in code reviews, building and executing unit test plans, and software packaging and deployment
• Maintain legacy ColdFusion web applications
• Create, modify and troubleshoot complex, modular XSLT stylesheets using advanced techniques such as keys and pipelining
• Support fast-paced production maintenance activities
• Support product migration to new environments
• Participate in and support platform/tool set upgrades

We expect they will have:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5+ years experience developing Java/J2EE web applications with specific experience using JSF, SEAM, Hibernate, and RESTful Web Services
• Fluency in HTML, XML, XLST, Ajax, ColdFusion
• Experience in SOA environment, JavaCAPS preferred
• Strong knowledge of Web 2.0, RIA, and presentation frameworks
• Experience with SQL and RDBMSs, Sybase and/or Oracle preferred
• Experience with ColdFusion Components and Object-Oriented ColdFusion code, Web Portals, and Portlet development experience a plus
