SUMMARY
Designs and constructs web pages/sites including incorporating graphic user interface (GUI) features and other techniques. Maintains and provides ongoing design of the website, promos and ad banners, seasonal content specials and custom chat launcher design for clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ability to work closely with a customer or client at the design stage and finding the answers to questions about why the site is needed, who the target audience will be, who the leading competitors are, etc;
2. Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required;
3. Writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Actionscript, ColdFusion, .Net, Flash, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio;
4. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
5. Extensive experience working on a Mac platform.
6. Ability to exercise good judgment when deciding how images and other material will be digitally optimized and presented for the web;
7. Ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all necessary audiences.
8. Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions and fixing any errors.
9. Ability to coordinate and complete processes within strict designated daily and monthly deadlines by working effectively with multiple individuals in a highly tactful yet precise and professional manner.
10. Must be able to communicate in English language, orally and in written form with the general public and staff members using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. Ability to use standard business writing practices.
11. Effectively portray outstanding customer service through courteous and effective oral and written communication skills.
12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
WORKING HOURS
This position allows for flexible daily working hours with a minimum of 40 hours per work week.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor degree in discipline related to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of experience in web design
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret client requests. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and vendors. Ability to prepare clear and concise written materials. Ability to effectively present information.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
