We have an exciting opportunity for a Web Application Developer in the Application Development Department in our Sarasota Office!  This position designs and develops web applications for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc’s public and internal websites.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Codes, tests, and maintains various web page Adobe Flash components.

  • Codes, tests, and maintains various web page Java components.

  • Codes, tests, and maintains websites using EKTRON CMS software tools.

  • Integrates sites using a variety of technology, such as MSMQ and XML 

 REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technology-related degree, or equivalent

  • Proficiency with Adobe Flash

  • Proficiency with Java Script

  • Experience with ASP.NET, C# coding languages

  • C/C++ a plus

  •  Experience with CMS software applications desirable

  • Experience with EKTRON CMS-400 a plus

  • Ability to quickly gain proficiency with the application development processes and platform used by Jackson Hewitt to develop  software solutions

  • Requires strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills to work effectively in a team
